Overview:

As an Embedded Engineer focused on Battery Management System (BMS) design and development, your primary role is to advance our battery manufacturing by designing and optimizing BMS firmware, specifically concentrating on State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH) monitoring.

Responsibilities:

1. BMS Design: Lead the development of BMS embedded systems with a strong SOC and SOH monitoring focus.

2. Embedded Software: Develop and maintain microcontroller firmware for accurate SOC and SOH calculations and real-time data collection.

3. SOC and SOH Algorithms: Implement advanced SOC and SOH estimation algorithms, factoring in temperature, voltage, and current.

4. Data Acquisition: Design efficient data acquisition methods and interfaces for precise battery parameter monitoring.

5. Safety Protocols: Integrate safety protocols into BMS firmware to prevent overcharging, over-discharging, and thermal issues.

6. Platform Development: Contribute to a standardized BMS software and firmware platform for scalability and reusability.

7. Testing and Validation: Collaborate with validation engineers to create comprehensive test plans, conduct testing, and ensure SOC and SOH estimation reliability.

8. Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of BMS design, firmware, and testing procedures.

9. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system architects, and quality assurance, to seamlessly integrate BMS into battery manufacturing.

10. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with battery tech, BMS innovations, and contribute to ongoing BMS enhancements.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related fields.

2. Experience:

   0-2 years in embedded systems design, with a strong BMS and SOC/SOH monitoring background.

3. Embedded Software Skills:

   – Proficiency in C/C++ for microcontrollers.

   – Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, CAN).

4. Battery Technology: In-depth understanding of battery technologies, chemistry, and BMS requirements.

5. Algorithm Development: Expertise in SOC and SOH estimation algorithms.

6. Data Analysis: Proficient in data analysis tools.

7. Safety Compliance: Familiarity with standards like ISO 26262 is a plus.
