Key Skills
 Expertise knowledge in the design and development of Li-ion battery packs for automotive
application
 Exposure to undergoing the complete lifecycle of Li-ion battery pack development
 Understanding the chemistry of different cells and experience in the design of battery packs with
different form factor (Cylindrical, Prismatic, Pouch).
 Ability to define the material specification for components in Li-ion battery pack
 Experience in identifying the failure mode of battery pack
 Hands-on experience with Cad software, SOLID-works preferred
 Good knowledge of battery pack level thermal and mechanical design, battery management
system, electrical components selection
 Knowledge of CAE software will be preferred
 Good understanding of EV battery pack standard UN38.3, UNECER100, AIS-048, AIS156
 Experience in HV battery pack design will be preferred
 Hands-on experience in Prismatic battery pack design with welded module for L5M, LCV
will be preferred
 Good understanding of automotive processes (DFMEA, DFM, DVPR)
 Proven working experience in electrical, thermal, and system integration for Li-ion battery
pack

Roles and responsibilities:
 Inputs and understanding of requirement specification and designing and development of
battery pack.
 Cell, Module layout, configuration for various concepts (air / liquid-cooled pack design).
 Material selection of battery pack components (connector, contactor, fuse, shunt, cables).
 Design of battery pack considering validation testing of battery pack.
 Ability to identify failure mode in the battery pack and provide a relevant solution.
 Design of sheet-metal, plastic components related to battery pack.
