The Role:
- Design, bring up and own operation of next-generation EV powertrain production equipment and tooling.
- Minimum 3-years experience in EV 2 and 4 wheelers Powertrain a MUST.
- Skills/experience leading a small technical team which includes setting direction for electric vehicles powertrain systems/components from Electrical, Mechanical and software perspective.
- Strong interest (direct experience required) in electric vehicle engineering and design (2 and 4 wheelers etc.)
- Knowledge of whole-vehicle systems with detailed electrical system/component design & integration experience.
- Proven technical knowledge and design experience in BLD DC Motors, HUB Motors, MID motors, traction motors, converters, High Voltage battery packs, and High Voltage vehicle systems as well as be aware of, and inform future vehicle technologies. This is both hardware and controls/software related experience.
- Knowledgeable of Electric Vehicle industry trends, regulations, and competitive benchmarks desired (ex. Battery/Motor/Converter testing standards, emerging specifications like ISO15118/DIN70121).
- Creative approach to solving problems and capable to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- Design/development experience from concept through production launch.
- Proven ability to work within a structured development process.
Required skills:
- Good know-how on Powertrain systems along with a good overview of sensors and actuators in Engine Management Systems
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Experience in analysis, design, implementation, and testing of automotive SW.
- Hands-on experience in programming in ‘C’ for real-time embedded systems
